What in the world is this world?

It's okay not to be a seeker after truth. Many of us have vital roles to play in society, within our families, or in the workplace. Maybe there's no time for seeking truth. Or not as much as they'd like. This may not be you, otherwise you probably wouldn't be here, reading this. So: what IS this world that we live in? you might ask.
